Sited Sculpture & Charity Auctions & Donations.

Suzanne Watson Sculpture Stone Carving Artist
RNIB College Site Specific Sculpture

This Sculpture, "Interflow" was created especially for the Royal National Institute for the Blind College in Loughborough in 1995, especially with the students in mind, there's no need for artwork to be only texture or smell. The students in RNIB College have many different levels of vision; some see through touch, some have minimal eye sight, some are seeing almost through a vale, and others are extremely myopic.   Everyone can experience this sculpture in their own way.  The Sculpture was sited in the Library, and is still in the College to this day.

Interflow is  inspired by the growth and development of natural forms such as leaves and insects, and was named Interflow because it depicts the inward growth we all go through to get to achieve our goals.

Painting Madison Suzanne Watson Sculptor Painter Artist
The Professionals Present: Charity Auction in Aid of Barnardo's.

Evershed's Office's in Cardiff organised a Charity Auction in Aid of Barnardo's with Sculptors, Painters, and Creators of all forms of Art donating Artwork for Charity.  Money raised helped transform the lives of vulnerable children through the amazing work that Barnardo's does.

This is the Painting I sold for Charity at this Auction, "Madison" 8"x8" Acrylic on Canvas, 2010.

It was originally done because of how a photograph of a homeless man hugging a dog moved me to tears.  It became a symbol for me of how vulnerability does not equal weakness or dependence, his dog is the dependent and the friend, someone to care for.  I named it "Madison" after Kirsty MacColl's song Walking down Madison.

It raised £40 for Barnados.

Special thanks to Ali Powell for including me in the special event, and to Evershed's.
